I have just been there. Its the 3rd and final "child" and it really is like Groundhog Day. Although generally speaking this year was a marked improvement on last year.

There are some really impressive teachers at portobello.

It is still strange going back to PHS, the main building is a dump, it is a 60's Tower block and has the charm, warmth and functionality of a 60's Tower Block. We need a new school and we need it soon.

I went back there a few years ago to do a night class.
I sat in a room where I used to get taught English by a very formidable old gel some 20 years previously. Nothing seemed too different in the classroom but there was some nice artwork in the corridors.

It's a tatty dump though, you're right about that. But it felt nice to go back for a few months.

Don't get me wrong, I love the place dearly, always will.

I did quite a good one on the way out. They are having a race night on November 25th, i can't go but I bought a couple of horses, which I had to name. Think Bruce will be in a for a bit of a surprise that night.

That would be telling.

I didn't buy a calendar EK, I wasn't offered one. But we will have one in the shop. unless you are too shy to come in for the money.

I think that would be a poinsettia. A polyanthus is pretty much a primrose, is it not?

Yes, there's not really much between them although primroses tend to be yellow and polyanthus come in different colours. And at Â£1 a plant, they're a bargain - so how many?

Thank you Arachid - aren't they lovely? Although ours aren't quite at that stage yet - especially the ones that we put out on the 8th floor roof yesterday to 'harden off'. They're sort of, em, in bits

However, we still have another 100 in the greenhouse

although they're on there way and starting to flower!

These ones were really a pic that I found!!!

They certainly brighten up the garden at this time of year though!!
