Summer Beers

Post by Sandra » 05 Jul 2006, 18:35

Does anyone fancy a summer night out - Drinks, Skittles or Beach Barbie?

See poll question above for dates. Suggestions welcome for possible venues/ideas.

Be brill to have another get together. :D

Skittles would be a good laugh Sandra - get a bit of competition going and maybe it would stop us drinking quite so much  . It's also possibly a pub we haven't yet been to and therefore are not barred from?

Can I also say you're a much more competent events co-ordinator than the last one. She was rubbish.

That could amount to professional suicide for you  . And I'm only coming if you've found the croquet set.

Never fear, the croquet set is perfectly safe in my garage. I wouldn't dare let anything happen to it. It's like my badge of office

I have nothing to say and I'm going to say it.

I guess we could ditch the games (I only picked Subbuteo cos the world cup was on) and just get on with the nachos and the beer.

Never fear - the event starts in the afternoon so we're bound to be finished by teatime.

Then again, judging by past performances it might not be the teatime of the day we started..........

I'd love that, what a great idea!
Let's have a beach barbie, that way we can have a mass spladoosh!
"So spin that wheel, cut that pack!
And roll those loaded dice
Bring on the dancing girls,
And put the champagne on ice"

It looks as though we need *two* days out now; one where we can all look elegant amongst the roses, and one for making sandcastles and burying people in the sand.

Thought I had better 'sticky' this before it slipped off the page. I feel duty-bound to support the BRA-B-Q on the 12th and I'm assuming that Porty will likewise. It usually gets going late afternoon and carries on until the light goes. Why don't you join us? Maybe we could all head down the beach later on?

I don't have any details. There was some talk of holding it in Brighton Park this year but I'm sure the Chair can clarify this. Marya?

We are all invited to join the BRA BBQ kicking off from 2pm. Bring your own food/beer. :D

We can all go to beach/bar afterwards.

Rapunzell, we can come for you if this helps. :D

Thanks! I want to do lots of spladooshing on the way : )

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that I invited folk down for the food and energy festival and that it may be on the same afternoon...
