your hand of friendship was never in doubt, one thing I've noticed is you're usually around for the making up, the friendship is certainly reciprocated, and for you too Ali :love8:

If Dada, you read the pm as me as the author which then led to a misunderstanding, I'm happy to live with that.

One comment on the process rather than content and this isn't aimed at anyone in particular and includes me, but could we make an effort to take care of each other because although this is virtual, real emotion is involved. We may inadvertantly end up putting people off, or just end up having a bad day.

I will shortly be updating RFP with some World Cup music - featuring hits from "two randomly-chosen countries - Sweden and Trinidad".

In the spirit of sport, if anyone would like to contribute any other world music from the Vindaloo song to that one that goes "Neh Neeeeh, Neh Neeeeh, Neh Neeeh Neh Neeeh Neh Neeeeh, Ne Ne Neeeeh Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne, Ne Ne-Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne <insert country name>" then please let me know asap.

You'll have to be on the ball to get the music to me so I'm happy to take requests - with the internet though, you've got the world at your feet.

I'll check it when I get home - thanks for the warning. Looking at the page, if it is actually displaying a song title it should be ok - but obviously it's not.

I'll check it later on - thanks again.

Radio Free Porty is very happy to announce its first download-only album for your legal, licensed enjoyment.

It's by my good friend Ninja Spice - about whom I have crafted a tribute thread (with links to the free album) here :

The album itself is a 5-part themed instrumental hip-hop album and makes great listening whether alone or with friends - on the beach, at parties, or maybe just when polishing your brass-ware.

*sniff*

Gilo and IV have been working very hard on all our behalves so I thought I'd take this opportunity to thank them, and all of youse, for taking part either as listeners or djs when it was me doing the updates & streaming.

I'd still love to know who it was that ratted us out to the copyright police. Someone contacted their Glasgow office - that's all I ever managed to get out of the (admittedly very nice) people at MCPS/PRS headquarters. We're very fortunate that lots of people rallied round with free content, and also that a new licensing scheme we could afford was brought in.

I'd like to thank ideas man Bob for inventing RFP and for his "hands-off" approach to station management!

I'll still be around, like the dotty old staff member nobody has the heart to sack (and it still seems to be my name on all the bills!!) but this is me signing off running RFP.

Nah, they don't come here. Their condemnation is a result of manipulation by third parties.

My guess is the dobber was perhaps that Edinburgh Sucks moron or that the gestapo picked it up from the Evening News story the one where Lawrence dissed the forum.
