'Oh!' said the boy quite seriously. 'Are you Matthew's grandad then?'
How old do you feel?
How old do you feel?
An hour ago Homer and son set off for Rosefield Park for a bit of a kick about. After a wee while they were joined by 4 other kids, two of them in p7 at Matthew's school. Homer thought he was putting up quite an impressive performance, dazzling the youngsters with his footballing skills. Eventually one the youngsters asked Homer how old he was. "43,' replied my sporting hero.

Conversley in the age stakes.
I was teaching my 16 year old how to put a washing in the machine, add in a tablet and softener, select a temperature and programme. A few hours later she appeared in the kitchen with a look of amazement saying "I put a washing in and it worked".
Its easy to be critical of such an utterance but people in glasshouses.....only a few months ago I had a similar experence with a vacum cleaner. Were you aware that they pick up dust etc?

What the young perceive about the ag(ing) ...
My nephew asked what I'm giving him for his 14th birthday next Friday ... I told him and his response was ...
"So it's true. When people get to your age, they're cheap!!"
He fled, I chased ... but had to give up after 2 minutes, puffing like an old codger of 70 who's smoked all his life ... and I don't smoke!
Kids ... who'd have 'em??
