On Wednesday April 11th PoP, Plug, Ed, Mr Lizzie, Pal of Porty's Pal, me and around 20 others are heading to Benidorm for a super skite in celebration of our good friend's stag night.
Los Pelicanos is the Hotel of choice. It will be a festival of Karaoke and dressing up as women. Having visited twice before with the same crowd the highlight is always the shopping for dresses. Iniitially one just wants to get the cheapest thing that fits but in a blink of an eye one is trading up for something that looks better.
Its quite exciting and a thrilling feeling to dress as a "lady" for the evening. (PoP looks like Sparticus). Thing is in Benidorm hardly anyone blinks at the sight.
Can anyone recommend any good restaurants?

I still can't quite decide if I am looking forward to this or not. I am one of the youngest going (at age 31).
It should provide some excellent photos, or is this a case of - "what happens in Benidorm, stays in Benidorm"

Ed, you are probably just invited so that you can look after the auld gits

... and I
do include my beloved Plug in that description!
And because he is beloved [by me, anyway

], I for one opt for the "what happens in Benidorm, stays in Benidorm" option!!

Thank you.

I've got this image in my head of you and PoP looking like Audrey and Brenda from the Bounty kitchen towel ads.

It is true. As I've said previously I have never witnessed it but sticky's daughter is also a performer. Apparently they are thinking of fannychising with Costa wide outlets that stay open all night.

Cant suggest any eateries Porty, but I'm guessing you've booked a globespan holiday? If so, you'll be going to the sister hotels sol pelicanos/ocas. It's a good location but you want to ask to stay in ocas when you get there...pelicanos isnt as good. And the door policy on trannies is more relaxed at ocas too

Franck you are spot on Globespan it is , I had forgotten . We stayed at this combo Hotel last time and we stayed at Ocas, which is to the right as you look at the Hotels, correct? I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness having stayed at Flamingo 3 the first time we went.
The first night we came out of Ocas turned left and stopped at the first bar where beer was 1 euro a pint. it was pretty disgusting and everyone agreed that we would avoid it from then on. We went every night.
As for Restaurants? There is at least one superb restaurant in Benidorm, its called Fratellis and it is top quality. Has the obligatory pictures of the King who ate their at least once. (I'm not making this up)The guy who owns it has a brother who also has a Restaurant called Topo Gigios, a bit like Bar Roma and its pretty goo too.

Always end up doing this whilst on holiday too, no idea why.

Actually, I have...I think it something territorial, first time in a new place so the pack lays claim to the first 'place of alcohol' they come across, no matter the 'quality'.
