Journey into space - Series 2, Episode 14. It's very exciting. They've landed on Mars but - lo and behold - it isn't uninhabited. And the aliens (or are they human?) are using hypnotism to take over the crew...

I might be missing something obvious but can someone tell me how people can be recognised and approached based on what they have written. Or are the wee cartoony pictures pretty fair representations? Is there someone perpetually doing that irritating dance with his/her friends. Come to think of it I'm sure I saw that cat with an orange on its head buying fish the other day.

One very jealous Jay! I a.) used to love that series b.) used to have the tapes c.) lost my tapes in the Millennium Floods (no, not in Portobello, before someone points out that there weren't any floods in Portobello in 2000!) I am surprised you manage to catch the bus, if that's what you listen to!

It's quite easy when you've actually known the person for a long time - a bit harder (or impossible) if you've never spoken to them in your life! Take Porty for instance (please!) I worked him out quite quickly (not sure if he's worked me out yet though :D ). I was brought up here and went to school here and still live here (saddo) so maybe that's an advantage!

But then Porty's notoriety goes before him - I know who he is and yet i've never met him!
I think marya's right (but I only think that because she knew who i was when i didn't know who anyone was!) - we can give a lot away.

could someone tell me what being "bagged" means, is it just someone spotting you, someone saying hello to you or what???? A definition for "spladooshed" would be helpful too. thanks

I seem to recall that the concept of Portyperson bagging was the work of Dadaist and that the term 'spladooshing' was coined by Porty, so I think it is down to them to explain the finer points.

Actually, Porty person bagging came from Gedge in the first place, I think.

Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you find, that money cannot be eaten.

Not lonely. Solitary. Sounds much more romantic. One man and his dog etc..

Where d'you want us to take him, and what do you want us to do to him when we get him there? And is it safe? That dog looks kinda big to me.

I could have bagged you today Bellybabe! I was among that motley crew of 90 third years counting the buses on the High Street :D
Thought it would be a bit unprofessional of me to jump up and down shouting Spladoosh, spladoosh and I might have frightened the kids!

You could have bagged me also. I wasn't with BB but one of my offspring was among the 90 and they spladdoshed me.

I don't need to officially bag you Porty - you must have worked out who I am by now

I can honestly say I haven't a clue who any of you are, well, I do know Bob :P I'm afraid I would walk passed all of you and not realise I could be Porty bagging :!:

A rather drastic measure to avoid being bagged!
Seriously did you really have laser treatment? My other half mutters about it at times but we've heard that there can be some downsides to the op. such as seeing a halo effect round lights at night. What's been your experience?
