People always ask me if I want a coffee right after I've brushed my teeth. It's a hygenic conspiracy!!
Half of them are on fire, half of them are flooding...

Are you telling me that at the end of the night when someone asks you if you 'fancy a cup of coffee' you always turn them down?

That's very kind of you. Could you possibly stretch to a coffee grinder and a frothing jug as well?

This must be my lucky coffee day. It started at 7:30 am when I got a free latte at M&S because their till wasn't working.

I can't have coffee without chocolate! The two just seem to go together. So I try to drink less coffee :)

Look what Nelson bought me! Any recommendations for beans to do it justice?

Bob - Valvona and Crolla do a fine selection.

Thanks. I got some Illy coffee beans free with the machine and I used them for my first attempts this morning. I also picked up some freshly roasted beans from Artisan Roast in Broughton Street. They roast every day on the premises and are full of useful tips on how to make the perfect espresso.

It's quite clear to me already that it is going to take a lot of practice to acquire the art and skill of the barista. I'm maxed out on caffeine for today so further experimentation is going to have to wait until tomorrow.

Bob we use the Italian Stuff that they use in Kitcheners. Its called Champany fron the Italian Aroma Coffee Company. We pay £7 for a 1kg bag of beans. You can pop in and purchase a bag at the same price if that represents value for money?

Cost-co's bags are a Starbuck's roast and good value too.
