Oh dear. Bit of bad luck.

Its happened to me before a couple of times, had to wait ages and eventually just ended up walking to get it.

Did you try and get a discount for having such a long waiting time?

poor delivery guy said he had never had such a bad night, people shouting at him, told me to phone and compian when I got through at 9.30 was offered a refund on the prawn dish but I declined, wont be going back again, the thought of food cooked about an hour earlier from eating turns my stomach especially seafood!

Congrats on the imminent arrival of baby no. 2 Nads! I looked back to check when Logan was born and can't believe it was way back in July 2006! It only seems like last year.

I tried booking a take away last night from the Lanna Thai, but the phone was just ringing out. I ended up having to cook. I suppose Valentine's Day is busy all over, especially when it falls on a Sat. Not much consolation for you tho' :(

I have had similar experiences with a whole variety of Chinese and Indian takeaways over the years. I now never order home delivery and only collect in person. Inconvenient but at least I get my food hot and sort of on time! 8)

Sorry to hear that, Nads.

I had my takeaway treat on Sunday night, and chose korma from Prince Balti House. Now, I like a very mild creamy curry sauce as much as the next woose, but this one was so sugary I couldn't have even eaten it for pudding (I tried). My teeth still hurt!

We had a take away on Saturday night too,and decided to try the Tiger in (after a discussion on take aways on another thread). We were quoted an aprox 40 min wait and it was bang on. Food was lovely too, couldn't fault it at all. Will def use them again :D

Sorry you were so let down , but in their favour , it was the busiest night of the year . more so than Hogmany and Christmas Eve. We always have a 108 on Christmas Eve and talk to them a couple of nights before to check the best time. They have the best Chinese food in Porty and do take comments on board. You should think about giving them a second chance as it's you than lose out .
hope you and the bump are well , not long to go now I hope.
whatever, am i bovvered
