Sorry I couldn't make it. Instead, I watched Carlisle come back from one nil down to snatch a second minute of injury time winner against Yeovil. Great stuff and I managed to score some Cumberland sausage as well, so a successful weekend all round.

I reckon he's still in the queue at the kebab shop. It was pretty long..... :D

So, did you actually talk to each other with words and sentences or did you take laptops and send e-mails back and forward?

Hi

This is Jay, so excuse me if I'm a bit behind (no rude replies, please!) - is there going to be a gathering soon?

I see Miyagi are playing tonight... I can't remember what they sound like but I do remember wanting to go to their album launch at the Ark last month. Damn flash player is playing up so can't hear the stuff on their website...

Thanks folks - I thought this was a reasonable proposition when it was bought last year at around £250k. Keep an eye on it. Find that stuff interesting.

mmm, I reckon the place is not busy at all and the owners probably wish they had not bought it ( only my opinion ).
I suspect they are trying to get out while the going is (reasonably) good.
I see their other pub (Rumba in Leith) is also on the market.
Do you think any pubs are busy in this economic climate ? I read somewhere that 3 pubs a day in Scotland are closing down.

My kids all go there and claim that it is always busy- only been two or three times myself.

I wonder how much of that has to do with the ban on smoking? It certainly seemed to make an immediate impact.

Not that I smoke any more...

I could be wrong then, but any time I have passed its always been empty, apart from some Saturday's when they have a band on. However I am sure they will need to pay arond £250 - £300 for a band so they will need to sell a lot of drink on a Saturday just to cover that cost.

What about barrello along beside carlo's chippie. I hardly see a soul in there any time I pass. Again it might get a turn at the weekend ??
