We had a great (and dry!) open Day on Sunday with many families with younger children coming along for the first session and a fair number of adults and teenagers along for the second session. Coaching for all ages will be happening over the summer starting next week. We are offering coaching for 12+s this time too and already have some older teens signed up.
I am on the Ctee at the club and have been keen to promote teenage/high school age players involvement. I have started a list of young people/members keen to play with others their own age from 12-17 so far. I will contact these people by text or email if we can organise some sessions or a wee competition later in the summer...or just to say there will be a couple young people coming to the courts on such a day/time why not come too.
If you would like to be on this list please send me a message here and I will send you my proper email.
Andrew Haw , coach can be contact on his email given elsewhere on this thread
look forward to seeing you...especially if its sunny like today!

Hi.

Do you have club evenings at the Joppa courts? I've moved to the area and I am considering joining but was wandering what the set up is. I haven't played in years but as the courts are so close to me I'd be crazy not to use them.

Regards

Jon

There seems to be an attempt at doing something like that on a weds at the moment via the coach who has been working at the courts...see other related posts here for his contact details: its a v small club as only 2 courts and not run like other clubs you may have been involved in before. The membership is v cheap!!

Sorry a bit more detail: when you join you get details about accessing the courts and there is a paper booking system withing the clubhouse. During summer sch hols there is "pay and play" for 11-6 each weekday: this isnt restricted to younger ones so you could have a "non-visitor" visit then. Otherwise try and catch the Weds session. membership contact also on this page. Hope that helps
