Sleepless in Manhattan
Sleepless in Manhattan
I had been a couple of times before , all since 2001, however this was the first time I visited whilst the smoking in public places ban has been in force. What an absolute joy! The people manage very well and it made me feel a lot more sympathetic to smokers social habits.
Had a great time, its always a different experience and I met the unluckiest tourists ever and they were from Scotland!

Now, now, Porty dear, that pout doesn't suit you. I'd love to see the results you got from flashing. Please, please, pretty please?Porty wrote:I would post my pics but after not even getting nominated in the recent photo competition, I'm thinking, why bother?
All I really need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt!

Yes, their intolerance of tobacco is a joy to non-smokers.Porty wrote:the smoking in public places ban has been in force. What an absolute joy!
But they are almost as intolerant of alcohol. I've always found that they bring the check after two rounds, making you feel very guilty about drinking any more! Still, there's always another bar round the corner.
I don't believe in Beatles.
I visited the TT site very, very eerie. I had visited when the buildings were there and Im a bit surprised by the apparently small size of the site.
At the airport on the way back, every passenger had to take their shoes off to get through security. Now, I have been to the USA 5 times since 9/11 and this is the first time EVERYONE has had to remove their shoes. So I am thinking; its another W fear tactic.

Stick well. I can imagine your photies anyhow.Porty wrote:Why should I?ecm wrote:So, are you going to show us your photies or not?
I join an on-line forum to be part of a community, they have a poll to decide whose photos are best and don't include me. What sort of community spirit is that?
Skyscraper, skyscraper, Flat Iron, skyscraper, Times Square, skyscraper, Chrysler Building, hot dog stand, skyscraper, some bridge or other, skyscraper, blah, blah, blah
I joined a similar community and they didn't include *me* in their so-called Halloween Avatar Poll. The schmucks.Porty wrote:Why should I?ecm wrote:So, are you going to show us your photies or not?

Watch it pal. You were included you just didn't make the final. I even included dcCairns and Ras. They, don't even have avatars but I stared at them long and hard in case there was a sub-liminal spook lurking.Dadaist wrote:I joined a similar community and they didn't include *me* in their so-called Halloween Avatar Poll.
