Merry Christmas all.
It is a lovely crisp morning. Hope your seafood starter went down well, Bob.
Hope Santa was good to you all and that you all have a lovely day.
Poppy are those kisses for me? Ya big flirt!
Just about to head into the kitchen. I feel some fizzy rose coming on. Or maybe a large gin?
Choices, choices.
Chin, chin folks.

That's really rotten news Teddygirl. I had thought of pneumonia as a thing of the past, but I know of several folk that have suffered from it fairly recently. Hope Mr TG is back on his feet for the New Year. Please wish him a speedy recovery.teddygirl wrote: It's not been the happiest one for us here as Mr TG has been in the Royal Infirmary for a week now with pneumonia and looks to be there for a few days yet![]()

All our thougts are with you and your family, TG.
Awful to be in hospital at any time of year let alone over the festive season.
Glad I was sober yesterday. Noticed a lot more cars than usual on the slippy roads, alot of drivers acting daft.
Brother in law was stopped and brethalised on his way home. He was like me, very abstentious, so no bother.
Was in touch with someone in perth, Western Australia. Picnic on the beach for lunch in 38 degrees heat and other person in Colorado USA, minus watever and skiiing, hot chocolate and marshmallows time

No kisses for you, ecm, ya brat!
Kisses to Mr TG though. What a bummer (as the young folk might say!!).
We were at my dad's in East Linton (slippy slip roads indeed, SoupD: scary), back today early as I developed asthma overnight, but have no idea what triggered it (getting better). We were supposed to be going to Mr Poppy's brother's but he's ill-in-bed as is the person who was supposed to be having a drinkies do tonight.
Still, that means I can snuggle under my electric "heated chocolate throw" for the rest of the day. Cosy cosy cosy.
Hope everyone has recovered from the excesses - or the sad lack thereof - of yesterday.

Thanks for all your good wishes, folks. Mr TG has just phoned me and is feeling not too bad tonight. His temperature came down slightly today but has gone back up again. They gave him a fan last night which helped him sleep so hopefully he'll get another good night tonight. He says it is doing him much more good than all those silly antibiotics.
Hi Catz, great to hear from you, hope you both had a lovely Christmas and thanks for asking after Mr TG.
Sandra, it seems that there have been a lot of people laid low with pneumonia this year, I've heard of a few more.
Mr TG has had a drain attached to him for the last couple of days but it's not been working so they are going to decide this week-end whether to operate or not

Thanks Poppy, he has been out of hospital for two weeks now and is recovering well although he still gets tired very easily. On saying that he has gone back to work part time (far too early, but he knows best !! ) and of course because of a problem he has even had to go in today for a few hours.
On a positive note he has lost two and a half stones in weight so for once his New Year resolution to lose weight this year has got off to a good start.
Think I'll have a job catching up with him
